Since it was established in 1992, Elaine P. Nunez Community College has provided a vital role in helping community members in St. Bernard, Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Tammany Parishes gain the skills and training to find stable, rewarding work in the region.

Nunez’s Act 360 project calls for a Student Testing and Career Counseling Center, which provides much-needed space for student support services from prospect status to beyond graduation. The new facility is anticipated to be a well‐designed state of the art facility that shall accommodate spaces to support Student Success Activities. The design shall include spaces for but not limited to Student Services, offices, tutoring, computer labs, conference rooms, & Veterans Center. Additional spaces anticipated to be included are a bookstore, coffee shop, incubation space, and other service spaces deemed necessary for this project type. The mission of the center is to help retain students, especially at-risk populations.
